When news hit of Junior Seau’s death, I paused. Back in the day, I was a huge fan of Seau. At one point in time, he was the best linebacker in the game. He made the San Diego Chargers contenders in today’s time.
Seau was great on the field. And from reports, he was a greater person off the field. Life after football can have it’s ups and downs. I think a job on NFL network or ESPN could have helped save his life.
Death is bad, but suicide is worse. I hate to see a player who I rooted for go out in this way.
Things happen. I do not know what he had going on in his life. I would have loved to see things turn out in another way for him. A prayer has to go out to the friends and love ones of the Seau family.
I hope other ex players get the resources they need. I would to lose another football idol of mine to go out in this way.
